Pinning you softly

These are home made...i know, i am still playing with making and getting it right with light & photography..never the less, the message is what counts in this one...There's this little voice we all have...this voice has all the answers and "she" knows everything...so funny & weird, why we have given her a seat in the backrow or a minor part in the play called your life...especially on a day like today 21-12-12, go open up to her and listen...or just be quiet...
i am goin to try and give her a seat in the front row...just like myself...
hope you do the same and wishing you a
Mary Mary

East of India

East of India was started in England in 1991. Today, all East of India products continue to be designed with love and care at their studio in Folkestone, England. They have developed some wonderful resources to help craft their designs using traditional skills passed down through the generations. In fact, today East of India supports not only that original talented man but his family and friends. It’s the skills of these craftsman and others that give East of India products a distinctive and unique quality. The East of India team in Folkestone has also grown and evolved, with John and Anne still at the helm responding with energy and enthusiasm to the ever changing requirements of a small business. With their support and guidance, we introduce you to this unique collection that touches people — bringing smiles and celebrating the good things in life. As you see below and can tell from the goodies itself, it's all made with...
L.O.V.E.....

Cottoncake

Great shop, coffee place, art house etc Cottoncake has some nice X mas goodies, that will make everybody happy..
Building castles in the air. ...everyone knows it: the colourful shimmering soap bubbles and building of castles in your mind. Here they meet. While blowing through the castle the most beautiful bubbles of soap are created – simply to dream away into your castle in the air.

Happiness box. ...tin box with 365 small cards with sayings, texts on the theme of happiness printed on them... for every day. Great 2013 pressie....

A bag of light. ....four white paper bags, four large tea-warmer candles and a piece of wire – the whole lot packed up together in a bag. The ideal light for outside – can be placed on a table or hung up. We all need some extra light these days...

Looking at stars. ...Alone or together. With these cards it is always possible. Simply hold the card against the light or in front of a candle or tealight and your own constellation is already gleaming, just as it does at times in the sky.

And while you're at it...Milou Neelen has an exhibition over there with some real fine art...
Happy Monday

Restored Amsterdam

Restored is one of my favorite stores in Amsterdam. Authentic, original products that are all made with passion, lots of variety and they have the (X-mas) balls to try and give young designers a chance.... Good thing is, the store does really well, meaning there are more and more people out there going for this stuff...i like this progress...
"Restored collects and sells unique products, for you to browse, own, and cherish. We focus on representing talented young designers, and offering them a platform to bring their products and visions to a wider public. On display in our store you will find beautiful garments, accessories, items for your interior, magazines and more. The products are manufactured with attention to craftsmanship. They have innovative details, are hand made and produced in small quantities. Restored is all about beauty, balance and originality. We believe in an honest approach and a sincere interest in people and products. We love to participate in co-creating a God-fashioned-world, where all fits together. We keep faith with the rubble around and find lots of pretty glimpses of hope to share. You’re welcome". Isn't that a nice message..Here's two of their goodies, but there is much much more....

Designers Alissa + Nienke work by several methods of experimentation. Their latest series of cups is the result of a material experiment using pigment and porcelain. It is a research into the flowing of colors through liquid clay, resulting in a series of unique handmade cups. By linking shapes to colors, they created space for experiment. Their cups might be messy or fixed, colorful or subtle, but are always guided by the flowing of the clay. The technique of pouring becomes visible in the final product. Following the drawings made in the clay leads to discovery of the movements we made. Kind of let go and see what happens..

European craftsmanship is the main focus of the Dutch initiative By Mölle. Their graphic plaids are produced in a limited edition and woven in Yorkshire, England. By Mölle sets itself apart because of local sourcing and an interesting use of special materials. Such as the rare Jacob wool, a very strong material which carries beautiful grey and brown tones. Oooooh i lovvvv grey...Another inspiring product is a unique and soft plaid, made from recycled denim. They all deserve an honest place within our houses and hearts. Go have a look in their store...

Home made

am goin to try to do a little more DIY X-mas...making our own tree ornaments...and little paper trees, see below...adding a few home made decorations...i know this is just a little start...my girl weeps on the backround and i tried to make the magic bowl snow at the same time, not so simple haha...

see a tiny ieny bieny bit of snow in my magic bowl...look good haha..i mean closer...and below my home made trees, cute right...am making much more...
today is 12-12-12, it's magic toooo...everything you put in the universe today will have extra power, make sure you are sending the right messages or wish...now is the time to do so...so maybe better if you have some resolutions to let them go now...
mine will be to do some more meditation and make a better connection with my intuition...she is telling me all sorts of good and inspiring things and sometimes i don't even listen to her...it's like this beautiful read i saw on Pinterest the other day....the intuitive mid is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant, we have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift....i so agree with ths one..and i want it CHANGED....

happy 12-12-12 day

Hope

ho ho ho....hope..It's a fashion brand from Stockholm, i didn't know...
great name in this day and age...
Hope is a Swedish fashion label created and run by the designers Ann Ringstrand and Stefan Söderberg. It begun as a creative discussion between two friends, Ann and Stefan, who both are passionate and extremely interested in well-made utility wear. The raw, updated and masculine style for women is a look they really like.  And using unexpected fabrics. They wanted the concept to be original and unique rather than a traditional fashion collection with all product groups presented. Well have a look and judge for yourself...they really honor the name by contributing Down Parkas to young homeless families and they donate parts of the profit from the sales of the parka for men and women. Stay warm in your heart is what it's called...that sounds hopeful, right..

The purpose with this book is to communicate their passion for the craft and visualise the essence of Hope. The brands ambition and tradition is illustrated through texts and images, by a retrospection of the past 10 years up until today. An empty book like this would also have been cool.........i hope it will get there...a notebook where you can write all your stuff you HOPE for...no not only goodies...and don't you think i need another notebook haha...well this one would have a theme, right...

hope you have a fabulous day...

Fourth Floor Print Shop

Brilliant shirts and sweats....i think i'm on the University of Internet as well..seeing how many hours i spend on there....how did we do that before this University openened...i took a closer look at this Fourth Floor Print Shop  (cause i'm on University, finallyyyyyyyyy...) and noticed this shop is from Brooklyn (as well) i have found so many cool shops from Brooklyn lately...like the i-hate-perfume shop from the cool taxi driver who was repulsed about all the "yuck" perfumes in his taxi, so he started his own shop and the Common good & Co which i lovvvve...so i wasn't surprised when i saw this shops' line below...haha...

how cute this logo...

what a cool sweat....

Le Typographe

A letterpress studio in Brussels where the printing technique with mobile leaden and wooden characters is still used. All products are printed on Heidelberg printing presses and are hand assembled, according to the traditional methods in their studio. Old is cool....i lovvv the use of these "old" machines...we 're goin back to that...mark my words...(or print...)

ohhh dear, i like this little deer...
